Attention to customer service puts clinic above the rest
Baptist Health Urgent Care strives to exceed expectations, every patient, every time. “If we are successful, caring and compassionate, our patients will come back. They vote with their
feet by returning to Baptist Health Urgent Care,” said Mike Dupuis, division vice president.
Baptist Health Urgent Care was named Best Urgent Care Clinic in this year’s Arkansas Democrat Gazette’s Best of the Best readers’ poll.
“It is an honor for patients of Baptist Health Urgent Care to recognize the outstanding care we endeavor to give sev- en days a week,” Dupuis said. “Our attention to customer service is something we train on all the time.”
Dupuis said that because of Baptist Health Urgent Care’s concerted efforts at exceeding expectations, “we know time is very important to our patients, not only because they have very busy lives, but because they want and need relief as quickly and safely as possible. That said, our average visits are completed under 45 minutes, door to door.
“Our staff focuses on listening to the patient, being empathetic, compassionate and delivering relief for the patient.”
Dupuis said his favorite part of working in this business is knowing that “we are making a difference in

patient’s lives and they can count on us to take care of their health care needs.”
He said patients are surveyed as soon as they complete their visits, and those comments and scores give the clinic immediate feedback.
Dupuis said the first of nine Baptist Health Urgent Cares
opened in North Little Rock in December 2015. Baptist Health Urgent Care accepts most insurances, including Med- icaid and Medicare, TRICARE and VA benefits — and the care center treats all age groups, as well as acute and chronic conditions. All of the centers have full X-ray capabilities.
“Our staff is the reason we received this honor,” Dupuis said. “Without the best team in the business, we would fail. “Most team members come to us with a minimum of two years’ experience in their particular job functions. In addi- tion, they receive at least a week, and sometimes two, of in- tense on-board, operational orientation and culture training.” Baptist Health Urgent Care holds membership in the chamber of commerce in each location, sponsors various local events and charities, and participates in health screen- ings, flu clinics and community events. Two new locations are slated to open soon, including one in Beebe in Decem- ber, and a second center in Fort Smith is scheduled to open
in March of next year.
In addition to welcoming walk-ins, Baptist Health Urgent
Care also offers online scheduling with Hold My Spot, as well as Telemedicine visits. Each of the centers offers a full range of family care, urgent care and occupational health services.
