Achance meeting blossomed into love for Kala and Tyler. Kala was having dinner with her family at Monte Ne Inn Chicken in Rogers, and their server caught her eye.  at server was Tyler. A er Kala contacted a mutual friend, the pair began dating. Tyler proposed on July 17, 2016, at Kala’s parent’s house. Tyler told Kala they would be having brunch at her family’s house, and then they would go meet his family for lunch. When the pair walked in her house, Kala wasn’t completely paying attention. “I started to walk into the kitchen and saw his whole family coming out,” she said. “I turned around, and he was down on one knee.”
THE EVENT
About 200 guests descended on Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm in Fayetteville for the couple’s wedding.  e ceremony was performed by Kala’s uncle Kevin Wittmayer, an Episcopalian priest. Danielle Hudson, the sister of Kala’s  orist, Peri Trudell, planned the wedding and reception. “She seriously gave me my dream wedding,” Kala said.
THE CAKE
Nellie B’s Bakery in Elkins created a confetti cake, Kala’s favorite. She said it was “so moist, and the frosting was to die for.”  e cake was decorated with  owers and a “T & K” topper. “ e cake was so good and a ordable,” she said. “ ey also delivered it for us, which took so much stress away.”
THE RECEPTION
Tyler and Kala wanted the reception to be elegant but relaxed. Guest were given glow sticks to use during the reception and the couple’s exit. DJ Connection from Tulsa, Oklahoma, provided music, and Kala said it was “fantastic.” Flying Burrito Co. in Fayetteville catered the reception with a Mexican-food bu et. “I felt a little funny serving Mexican food because I wanted everything to be so elegant, but I would do it over again and again,” Kala said.
