THE RECEPTION
De’Andrea and Brandon chose to have both the ceremony and the reception at Lo 1023, which De’Andrea said made it very easy to carry the rustic theme seamlessly into the reception. e reception included a bride-and-groom game, and quite a
few dance-o s to tunes spun by a Central Arkansas Entertainment DJ. “We wanted
to dance all night,” she said. “My family loves to get out on the dance oor.” For party favors, the couple gave tealight candle holders and sweet treats.
THE TASTES
During the reception, guests were treated to chicken in Milano cream sauce, roasted brisket, a vegetable medley,
a mashed-potato bar, salad and garlic bread, all catered
by Events! Catering in North Little Rock. e ve-tier wedding cake, created by Blue Cake Company in Little Rock, included ve di erent avors: vanilla, Italian cream, German chocolate, strawberry and red velvet. De’Andrea referred
to the cake as “the most beautiful wedding cake ever!” e groom’s cake, also created by Blue Cake Company, played perfect homage to Brandon’s love of PlayStation 4 and was his favorite avor — red velvet. “Blue Cake Company also knocked the groom’s cake out of the park!” she said.
THE DETAILS
De’Andrea and Brandon chose a palette of rose, portobello, blush, ivory and
gold. Since they were going for a very subtle theme, the darker tones were used sparingly. e bridal party’s attire, the cake, some of the owers and tablecloths were in lighter colors, which allowed the centerpieces and a few other details to feature hints of gold. Since De’Andrea wanted a nature-focused theme, she incorporated more types of owers than she can even recall, but she said the decor included an array of hydrangeas, white roses, peonies, lavender, heather and eucalyptus from Fairy Tale Florals in North Little Rock.
