THE TASTES
Dean Morrison of the El Dorado Country Club provided a selection of comfort foods, including chicken, green beans, loaded mashed potatoes, sweet tea and lemonade. Adorned with owers, the bride’s cake was white cake with buttercream frosting. e groom’s yellow cake was topped o with chocolate buttercream icing. Both cakes were cra ed by Bobby McDaniel.
THE RECEPTION
While the couple love nature and wanted an enchanted-forest theme, Amanda said she knew it would be too warm for an outdoor wedding in late May. “We both love hiking, camping, kayaking — really anything that allows us to be away for a while and just enjoy the beautiful Earth we’ve been given,” she said. e pair chose the El Dorado Country Club as
the site for the reception because the venue features large glass windows overlooking the golf course, along with a patio. “We had an amazing orist — All About Flowers in El Dorado — that was able to incorporate everything we wanted from nature and leave out the stu we didn’t, like bugs, heat and humidity,” she said. Music was provided by a DJ from e Party Machine in El Dorado, and guests were invited to stop by a treat table and choose from a variety of candies to ll take-home goodie bags.
