The odds were de nitely in Caroline and Kim’s favor in March 2015, when they met through a mutual friend at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming in Hot Springs. Two years later, Kim gave Caroline a very special gi . “She proposed in July 2017 at home with a book that she had made about all of the things she loves
about me,” Caroline said. “ e last page asked me to marry her!” e couple hoped to ll their wedding day with love, surrounded by family and friends, and Mo Onyeyiri, wedding planner at Angelo’s Garden in May ower, helped make that dream a reality. “Our wedding was all perfect, thanks to her,” Caroline said. “She is seriously amazing.” A er exchanging vows, the couple honeymooned in Aruba, where they snorkeled and rode utility vehicles around the island.
THE EVENT
On a beautiful day in April, about 100 guests visited Angelo’s Garden to join Kim and Caroline at the outdoor ceremony, which was o ciated by Caroline’s good friend James Mecalo. Both brides included ve people in their wedding parties. “[ e wedding] was more than I had ever wanted,” Caroline said. “It was the most perfect day I could imagine.”
THE ATTIRE
A er spying her Essense of Australia gown on
the Bridal Cottage in North Little Rock’s website, Caroline visited the shop to try it on. “A er everyone’s reactions, I knew it was my dress,” she added. e Bridal Cottage also supplied Caroline’s coral bridesmaids dresses and the coral bow ties for Kim’s party. Team Kim also wore navy trousers from e Limited, and white button-up shirts.
THE RECEPTION
e couple opted for a classy reception at Angelo’s Garden, and guests danced the night away to tunes provided by a DJ from Central Arkansas Entertainment in Little Rock. A er they said their goodbyes, guests took home custom koozies with the pair’s names, wedding date and the phrase, “To love, laughter and happily ever a er.”
