SANTORO’S FURNITURE MALL
Family-owned store provides uncommon service
When the Santoro family opened Har- ness Furniture 45 years ago, the goal was to provide quality products and friendly service to the local community. Now, as Santoro’s Furniture Mall, the shop has become a fixture in North Little Rock, and the same family continues to focus on providing excellent service to their customers.
Owner John Santoro, who is the third generation to head the shop, said he has worked at the store since he was in high school.
“I’ve been here since the day it was built, so I watched it grow, and it’s been a good business,” he said. “We’re going to treat every single person who comes in here like family, because to us, all our customers are our family.”
The store offers an outstanding array of new and used furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and more. Products include mattresses, sofas and recliners, as well as rockers and full- body massage chairs.
Family ownership allows the shop to provide customers with better deals and better service than they might find at big-box stores, Santoro said.
“We pride ourselves on customer service,” he added. “They don’t have to worry about high-pressure sales people or anybody on commission. They deal directly with me.”
The shop offers special orders for items that are not in stock. Santoro’s Furniture Mall also offers interest-free financing and a layaway program. The shop offers free deliveries, during which staff members will go above and beyond to assist customers by removing furni- ture or performing other tasks.
“If we’re on a delivery and they need something done, we’ll do it,” Santoro said. “We’ll even stay and eat if they want us to.”
