GARY MARSHALL/CAPTURE ARKANSAS
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR AT THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OF CHI ST. VINCENT MORRILTON
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD?
I chose the medical industry 17 years ago after becoming a dislocated worker at Levi Strauss. I always wanted to help others and was blessed with the opportunity to further my education in the medical field of nursing.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
My favorite part of my job is helping those in need of care and being a patient advocate.
HOW DOES THE HOSPITAL IMPACT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY?
CHI St. Vincent Morrilton is a huge asset to my community. Being from this community, I take pride in what we do here at St. Vincent Morrilton. The family atmosphere and friendli- ness offers an open environment.
WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER TO BE MORRILTON’S HIDDEN GEM?
Our community college is truly a hidden gem, or maybe not so hidden anymore. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton has grown.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN MORRILTON WHEN YOU HAVE A DAY OFF?
My favorite thing to do in Morrilton when I’m off is ride my motorcycle to Petit Jean.
