Independence Day is a great time to celebrate our country’s freedom with family, friends and even complete strangers. However, that freedom wouldn’t be possible without the United States military and the dedication and sacrifice of men and women in uniform.
One of the most important aspects of Pops on the River is its Salute to the Troops.
“We owe a special debt of gratitude to the members, past and present, of our Arkansas military community,” said Amanda Copley, marketing and events director at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “It is due to their commitment and sacrifice that we live in an atmosphere of freedom in which we are able to provide and attend celebrations like Pops on the River.”
