As a provider of behavioral health to more than 3,500 children and families in Arkansas, mem- bers of the organization serve in school settings and also in a clinic-based envi- ronments. Partnering with physicians in The Pointe’s clinics, APNs have an op- portunity to collaboratively lead the clin- ical team in best practice and improved outcomes with the flexibility to balance work/life values and priorities.
Highly regarded among the medical community — and especially within The Pointe Outpatient Behavioral Health Sys- tem — the APN is the leader and key member of the multidisciplinary team. Compassion and integrity are accurate descriptors of Ashlee Johnson, an APN with The Pointe. Johnson embraces her role as the medical team member ulti- mately responsible for the outcome of
a family’s successful encounter within the clinic. With the support of her mul- tidisciplinary team, Johnson conducts a comprehensive psychiatric assessment of the needs of the child or children within a family.
Johnson graduated from the Univer- sity of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a master’s of science in nursing, specializing as a family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. With extensive experience addressing com- plex issues facing families, she has been collaboratively leading The Pointe teams since 2013. The Pointe invites applicants to become APNs who make a difference in the life of a child or family. The Pointe wants to give opportunities to people who are seeking a career of compassion and integrity and who are attracted to a client-centered approach.
