CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

OVERVIEW
Baptist Health College Little Rock, a part of Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, shapes the health of Arkansans by educating and mentoring health care professionals with excellence and Christian compassion.
In fulfilling its mission, the college has placed special emphasis on the values of service, honesty, respect, stewardship and performance.
The college’s purpose is to prepare graduates who demonstrate entry-level competency in their respective fields, exemplify professionalism and personify the Baptist Health values.
ACADEMICS
BHCLR offers two nursing tracks designed to serve a variety of students, as well as a one- year LPN (licensed practical nurse)/certified paramedic to RN (registered nurse) track. Traditional nursing graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing and are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam. In addition, BHCLR graduates can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through affiliations with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences,
Baptist Health College Little Rock, as part of the largest health care system in Arkansas, offers a wide variety of programs with extensive clinical experience.
University of Central Arkansas, Arkansas Tech University and Ouachita Baptist University.
BHCLR offers seven programs in allied health. Sleep technology is a one-year certificate program with no college prerequisites. Occupational therapy assistant, histotechnology and surgical technology are Associate of Applied Science degree programs. Baptist Health
College Little Rock also offers three bachelor- level programs through affiliations with partner universities in radiography, medical laboratory science and nuclear medicine technology. All BHCLR programs are certified by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education, as well as having individual certification in each field of study.
