According to a recent study that measures the economic impact and returns on invest- ment of the university to its students, taxpayers and society, UCA added $1.01 billion in in- come to the Arkansas economy and supported 19,506 jobs in fiscal year 2018-19.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Students may choose from more than 160 degree and certificate options, which include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs offered in person and online. The university’s innovative academics feature hands-on oppor- tunities, as well as professors who invest in their students. This fall, the university welcomed one of its most academically qualified incoming fresh- man classes, with students having an average composite ACT score of 24.2 and a composite high school grade-point average of 3.59.
The Norbert O. Schedler Honors College at UCA was the first in Arkansas and continues to provide an interdisciplinary approach to learning through small classes taught in seminar format.
As a result of unprecedented interest from qualified students, the University Scholars pro- gram was added in 2018 to increase honors opportunities for UCA students.
The Norbert O. Students develop the research and critical-thinking skills needed for active involvement in civic life.
