Top dermatologist credits clinic staff for success
With a mission to provide top-quality care by offering the best available medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatological services, Pinnacle Dermatology in Little Rock develops individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve healthy skin. This year, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette readers showed their support for Andrea Mabry, M.D., of Pinnacle Dermatology by voting her Best Dermatologist in the 2020 Best of the Best contest.
“I am honored to be voted Best Dermatologist,” she said. “Our clinic works very hard to provide great patient care and a great experience. ... Winning the Best Dermatologist award feels like our patients have appreciated and benefited from our efforts.”
Mabry added that she believes the clinic’s dedication to patients helped garner the award. Providers work diligently before, during and after appointments to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, she said, and the clinic is always seeking to improve.
“We continually implement new ideas and technology to provide a better and easier experience,” she said, adding that the clinic will soon implement online appointment scheduling. “Constantly striving to improve, on both a small and large scale, is gratifying for us.”
An expert team of aestheticians, nurses, medical assistants and other support staff also helps distinguish the clinic, Mabry said, adding that every member of the team tackles numerous behind-the-scenes tasks to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.
“Our staff is pivotal in our success,” she added. “They are wonderful, dedicated, professional and caring.”
Pinnacle Dermatology opened in 2016. Patients often comment on how beautiful the office is, she said, and the team works to cultivate a welcoming, soothing atmosphere.
She added that the clinic recently expanded its satellite locations. The providers now see patients at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton every Tuesday and at Russellville Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic in Russellville two Wednesdays a month. Pinnacle Dermatology also collaborates with the Applied Research Center of Arkansas to provide patients with the option to participate in clinical trials, she said.
“Feeling a connection to our patients is the most rewarding part of my workday,” she added. “We frequently get to see the changes we can make for a patient have an effect before our eyes — watching their acne clear, seeing their psoriasis or eczema resolve, or cutting out their skin cancer — and we love to hear how happy they are that their lives have improved, thanks to what we do.”
