FINALIST: BEST REAL ESTATE AGENT
Laura Westendorf >>
Military spouse draws on past experience to help clients
During her three years as a Realtor, Laura Westendorf of RE/MAX Real Estate Connec- tion in Cabot has earned nu- merous awards, including the company’s Cooperative Spirit Award in 2018, the North Pulaski Board of Realtors Silver Award in 2017 and the NPBOR Diamond Award in 2018 and 2019.
Now she can add being voted a finalist for Best Real Estate Agent in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s 2020 Best of the Best readers’ poll to her list of accolades.
“I am thrilled to be a finalist,” she said. “I honestly love this industry.”
During more than 20 years as a military spouse, she gained a keen awareness of what it is like to be in transition, while moving every few years. When her husband settled down by joining the Arkansas Air National Guard at the Little Rock Air Force Base, Westendorf became a Realtor to help others through the moving process that was so familiar to her.
“It seemed like a natural transition,” she said, adding that she enjoys the va- riety of the real-estate business. “Every day is a new day, and each and every transaction is different. You also get to meet and work with so many different people.”
Westendorf added that she works to treat her clients the way she would like to be treated and goes above and beyond to meet her clients’ needs. She said she particularly enjoys helping clients who are selling a home get the house in market-ready shape by con- necting them with contractors who can help them with fencing, flooring, roofing and other repairs.
“It’s the little things that matter most, like standing in the yard to meet with roofers and adjusters,” she said. “[It is important to] actually be there throughout the process.”

plenty of thank-you notes from clients, who often continue reaching out to her months after closing their transactions, she said, adding that a referral is the best compliment she can receive.
She added that she would have been unable to achieve her current level of success without a dedicated team of support staff at RE/MAX Real Estate Connection.
“They are priceless,” she said. “They allow me to spend more one-on-one time with my clients, and that is ex- actly what I need. I know each of them plays a huge role in my success, and I hope that they are able to celebrate this success as one of their own.”
