Remove any decorations or sugar  owers.

Wrap the cake in several layers of plastic wrap. Do not use aluminum foil, as this will cause freezer burn.

Seal the wrapped cake in an air-tight bag or container, and place in the freezer.

Take a piece of ribbon and tie it around the sealed cake package to mark it so that you don’t mistake it for something else.
