BRING SHOES AND UNDERGARMENTS
Brides should bring the exact shoes and undergarments they plan to wear on the big day to every gown tting, since a change in shoes or lingerie can lead to a gown’s poor t.
CHECK THE DETAILS
The second tting is designed to ensure that all issues from the rst tting have been addressed and the bride can move comfortably in her gown. A third tting is only required in the case of extensive alterations, such as a custom veil or custom sleeves, Lanford said. The maid of honor should accompany the bride to the nal tting to learn how to fasten closures and bustle the train.
REMEMBER YOUR MAIDS
Like brides, bridesmaids can have their gowns altered before the big day, said Alex DeJohn, owner of Bella Bridesmaids in Little Rock. “All bridesmaids should expect to tailor their dresses to ensure a perfect t,” she added. “It is important to make your dress t and atter you best with alterations.”
