back and loaded with veterans who have a diverse array of talent. Juniors Austin Cantrell and Cheyenne O’Grady,
benefitting from a redshirt season in 2015, are primed for big seasons. Cantrell
is the sturdiest blocker in the group, knows the drill and has good hands but not the open-field skills as his cohorts. O’Grady, who has a flair for spectacular catches, has improved
O'Grady on the blocking duties and on his maturity. He’s
a matchup problem for safeties and linebackers. Jeremy Patton’s confidence has been oozing in camp. He suffered a bruised ankle Aug. 13, dodging a bullet.
If he recovers as expected, the nation’s No. 1 junior college tight end signee last year should blossom. Grayson Gunter has put in work to catch up on upper body strength after labrum surgeries and has the potential to wreak havoc in the slot. Former fullback Hayden Johnson has physical skills and showed pass-catching prowess early in his career.
Offensive line
This position had an injury bull's
eye on its back in camp, with a handful of players ailing, including starting left tackle Colton Jackson, his replacement Dalton Wagner, Dylan Hays, right guard candidate Jalen Merrick and veteran reserve Deion Malone, who is out for the year after knee surgery. Austin Capps, a two-way star at Star City, moved to left

to scheme advantages for their quick- twitch, explosive junior. Randy Ramsey and Gabe Richardson led the group
of ends in camp that included Jamario Bell, who has a high ceiling, junior college transfer Dorian Gerald, Michael Taylor, Nick Fulwider and Courtre Alexander. Sophomore Alexy Jean- Baptiste took reps at end during the second week
Agim of camp. Gerald, who logged 22 sacks in junior
college, reported the day camp started, so he’s had to catch up in all areas. Steady T.J. Smith is back as the starting right tackle, while Armon Watts was off to a strong start on the left side, pushed by the versatile Agim. Jonathan Marshall, Briston Guidry and true freshman Isaiah Nichols should be in the rotation at
DT. Billy Farrell appears targeted for a redshirt. The Razorbacks did not have a player ranked in the top 20 of the SEC in sacks or tackles for loss last year.

the second scrimmage. Johnny Gibson and Brian Wallace, both long-running veterans, are providing stability, strength and improved stamina on the right side by being better conditioned. Wallace was slowed for a short while in camp. Jackson might miss half the season after back surgery, giving Clenin, Wagner
and possibly true freshmen Noah Gatlin and Silas Robinson prime experience. Position coach Dustin Fry must have his fingers crossed to get Wagner, Merrick and then Jackson back to supply depth on the beleaguered unit.
