run for the Razorbacks. Santos Ramirez and Chevin Calloway have interceptions, Randy Ramsey logs two sacks, and McTel- vin Agim recovers a fumble for the Hogs’ defense.
“We’re linking arms and trying to build a foundation here,” Chad Morris says about the team’s 3-0 start.
SEPT. 22
Auburn 38, Arkansas 21
AUBURN, Ala. — The Razorbacks hang around for a half but fall victim to Jarrett Stidham’s 385 yards of total offense and four touchdowns as Gus Malzahn beats his buddy Chad Morris in their first head-to- head meeting as head coaches.
The game is delayed momentarily in the second quarter when Malzahn’s wallet falls out of his pocket and hundred-dollar bills go floating willy-nilly across Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Arkansas' touchdowns come on Ty Sto- rey’s 1-yard keeper, Jeremy Patton’s 15-yard catch and Maleek Williams’ 2-yard carry.
De’Jon Harris logs 10 tackles and a fum- ble recovery for the Hogs.
SEPT. 29
Texas A&M 24, Arkansas 21
ARLINGTON, Texas — A group of Ra- zorbacks grab the Gatorade buckets and are preparing to douse A&M grad Chad Mor- ris and defensive coordinator John Chavis, who served in the same capacity for the Aggies the past three years, before Texas A&M strikes with a miracle touchdown on a series of laterals on a squib kickoff on the final play.
The Aggies extend their winning streak in the series to seven.
The Razorbacks were celebrating mo- ments earlier after Mike Woods broke a short slant into a 45-yard touchdown to give Arkansas a 21-17 lead.
OCT. 6
Alabama 31, Arkansas 13
FAYETTEVILLE — The Crimson Tide extend their winning streak in the series to 12 years, and Alabama Coach Nick Sa- ban breaks his eight-year silence about The Forecast’s annual Saban statue cracks.
“First off, a statue, by definition, cannot coach,” Saban says. “Second, I would never disrespect an opponent by saying ‘Talk to the statue,’ and finally, you cannot put a statue on a team plane. I know, I’ve tried.”
The Razorbacks take an early 7-0 lead on Chase Hayden’s 12-yard touchdown run, the Hogs’ first lead in the series since late in the third quarter of the 2015 game.
Randy Ramsey returns a fumble 33 yards to set up an Arkansas field goal, and Kamren Curl’s interception stops an Ala- bama drive.

other score.
The Tigers inexplicably go for a two-
point conversion early in the fourth quarter after taking a 20-14 lead.
“I don’t know, JoJo,” LSU Coach Ed Orgeron says to explain the conversion decision.
NOV. 17
Mississippi State 37, Arkansas 33
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Nick Fitzgerald scores on a 1-yard keeper late in the game, and the Bulldogs dodge an upset bid on a chilly night at Davis Wade Stadium.
The SEC West rivals play yet another tight game in what has turned into an un- derrated SEC West rivalry. The Razorbacks take the lead on Maleek Williams’ 8-yard score with 2:13 remaining to set the stage for the winning drive.
Dorian Gerald leads the Hogs with 2.5 sacks. Jonathan Marshall scores on a fumble return, and Deon Stewart, Austin Cantrell and Chase Hayden log the Hogs’ offensive scores.
NOV. 23
Missouri 33, Arkansas 28
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri receiver Johnathon Johnson shoves Chevin Callo- way to the ground, then hauls in a 50-yard pass from Drew Lock and steps across the goal line with seconds remaining to lift the Tigers to the victory.
“I learned that from J’Mon Moore,” Johnson says of the winning catch, refer- encing a play in the 2017 game between the teams.
Brian Wallace and Armon Watts, high school teammates in St. Louis, both recover fumbles for the Razorbacks, who get touch- downs from Devwah Whaley, Ty Storey, Jonathan Nance and on Dre Greenlaw’s fumble return.

INDEPENDENCE BOWL
Louisville 41, Arkansas 40
SHREVEPORT — SEC and ACC offi- cials cannot avoid the matchup between the Hogs and former University of Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino, and the drama that unfolds at the Independence Bowl makes the decision look like a master stroke.
The Razorbacks take a late lead at 40- 35 on a beautifully designed and perfectly executed hook-and-lateral play.
After hitches to Jared Cornelius, Mike Woods and Tobias Enlow get Arkansas to midfield, Ty Storey hits Jeremy Patton over the middle at the Louisville 30. Patton immediately pitches to a streaking Jordan Jones for the shocker touchdown with 27 seconds left.
But Petrino has a trick up his sleeve. A spot pass on the kickoff return gets the Car- dinals to the 50-yard line. Then a halfback pass yields the game winner.
Morris wraps up a 7-6 debut season by saying the recruiting trail beckons.
Miss as SEC drama returns to Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium with the Hogs' first victory over an SEC opponent in the capital city since a 44-17 victory over Mississippi State in 2011.
“Just back to the full-tilt boogie, baby,” Chad Morris says.
Ty Storey hits Jordan Jones with a 43-yard slant pass touchdown — nick- named the “Arkansas River” play — to bring the Razorbacks within one point on the final play of regulation, then Jack Lind- sey scoops a bobbled PAT snap and throws the winning two-point conversion pass to Austin Cantrell as the crowd goes wild.
Jordan Ta’amu accounts for five touch- downs for the Rebels, but a failed hand- off attempt in the fourth quarter leads to D’Vone McClure’s 32-yard fumble return touchdown to pull Arkansas into a tie.
The Razorbacks extend their winning streak over Ole Miss to five games.
OCT. 20
Arkansas 45, Tulsa 16
FAYETTEVILLE — A homecoming crowd watches Ty Storey throw for career highs of 301 yards and three touchdowns — to Jonathan Nance, De’Vion Warren and Cheyenne O’Grady.
Ryder Lucas returns a blocked punt for a touchdown, and takeaways from Briston Guidry, Montaric Brown and Joe Foucha set up other scores.
T.J. Hammonds scores on a pitch play,
and Rakeem Boyd runs for 74 yards and a 13-yard touchdown.
OCT. 27
Arkansas 26, Vanderbilt 13
FAYETTEVILLE — The Razorbacks run their winning streak to three games and clinch bowl eligibility by holding Vander- bilt to 270 total yards and notching four takeaways.
Kevin Richardson and Hayden Henry post interceptions, while Gabe Richardson and T.J. Smith recover fumbles.
“I’ve got to be a better CEO of this team,” Vanderbilt Coach Derek Mason says after the Commodores lose their fourth game in a row.
NOV. 10
Arkansas 21, LSU 20
FAYETTEVILLE — The Razorbacks win their fourth in a row with a dagger against the Tigers, who have the lead and the ball with less than two minutes remain- ing before a muffed snap leads to disaster.
De’Jon Harris rushes in to scoop up the loose ball at midfield and is corralled at the LSU 30 before lateraling to Santos Ramirez, who races in the final 32 yards for the game-winning score.
Cole Kelley throws a 25-yard touchdown strike to Jared Cornelius for an early Ar- kansas lead, and Kendrick Jackson blasts in for a 1-yard touchdown for the Hogs’
