JACKSONVILLE TITANS
Jacksonville senior wide receiver Cam Robinson listens to assistant coach Larry Burrows.
JACKSONVILLE continued from 4SS
K.D. Rogers (5-10, 180), Casey and junior James Robinson (5-10).
Hickingbotham said defensive linemen should be Casey, Ready, McCoy, senior Jaylin Swain (5-9, 290) and Martin.
Linebackers will be Newson, Dodson and sophomore Garrett Henderson 5-8, 190). De- fensive backs will be Isaac Johnson, Mosby, Curley and junior Keywan Palmer (6-0, 170).
“We’ve got two great defensive linemen who are going to anchor the front side,” Hickingbotham said of McCoy and Casey. McCoy had 110 tackles
and 9 sacks a year ago. Casey had 110 tackles and 11 sacks. He has committed to the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
“We’ve got linebackers in the position where they need to be,” Hickingbotham said. “On the back end, we’ve got Tre Newson, who’s going to anchor the secondary.
“We’re a little more ahead on the defensive side of the ball than we are on offense, just be- cause we’re trying to develop a tailback, and we’ve got some inexperienced guys up front.”
The Titans will open the season Friday at home against Mills. The 6A-East opener will be Sept. 21 at Searcy.
