Those seeking creamy treats have a new destination. Unique Nosh, a purveyor of self-serve frozen treats, is owned by hus- band-and-wife team Joseph and Kimberlee Thomas.
The establishment offers five soft-serve machines, boasting a combination of 15 flavors of frozen yogurt, gelato, Italian ice, sorbet and custard.With more than 40 top- pings to choose from, customers are sure to have a unique experience each time they visit the shop.
“We are your exclusive Macaron Cafe distributor. We encourage you to try this delightful French cookie on your next visit,” Kimberlee said, adding that the cookies can be personalized for special events.
GOOD TO KNOW: Unique Nosh up- dates its flavor options each week, and current offerings can be found on the store’s Face- book page. Kimberlee Thomas and her husband, Joseph, own Unique Nosh, an establishment that offers creamy, self-serve treats with a variety of tasty toppings.
For more than 50 years, Wood-Lawn Inc. has served seniors in Independence County. The nonprofit nursing home began in 1964 and has since grown into a continuum-of-care community.
In August 2013, the company opened the state-of-the-ar t Wood-Lawn Heights Skilled Nursing Facility, which boasts 140 beds, a me- dia room, four dining rooms with buffet din- ing, a game room, two activity rooms and two cour tyards, as well as a beauty shop, a massage therapist, an in-house physical therapist and full
staff for both short- and long-term therapy. Wildewood Independent Living offers 30 apartments for seniors who want to enjoy a carefree lifestyle. The facility provides three
meals a day, transportation and activities.
