home, custom trim work lines the ceilings and baseboards. Hardwood floors also run throughout the house. In the backyard, a large patio offers lots of space for entertain- ing, and a swimming pool provides plenty of fun for the kids during the summer. The lot is situated on Hurricane Lake, which was one of the biggest selling points since the couple’s son, Hud, 9, loves to fish and hunt.
The two-story home also allows plenty of room for the family, Timie said. The two upstairs bedrooms each have their own bath- rooms, and a play area gives the children a room to watch television or draw. Downstairs, the master bedroom opens to the patio, and the master bathroom features a large whirl- pool tub. The kitchen features a small island with a sink, a double oven, a stone-accented range area and lots of cabinets. A large living
room offers plenty of space for guests.
“We love to entertain and have people over,” Timie said. “The more the merrier.” Timie decorated the home herself with a little help from a friend. She said people de- scribe her style as “modern glam” with lots of whites, grays, blacks and taupe. Many of the pieces in the home come from either local artists or are flea-market finds. Timie said her favorite place in the house is on the second floor, where she has mounted many photos of her family. Another wall by the master bedroom features photos from
the family’s vacations around the world. When asked if she thinks she would ever want to move, Timie said that she thinks this could be the last home she would want
to live in.
“I’d be happy being here forever,” she
said.
“It’s a house that can grow with you.”
