BENTON FAMILY TURNS DREAM HOME INTO REALITY

FOR BENTON’S TIMIE YANCEY, THE PERFECT HOME WAS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
Timie, her husband, Jake, and their two children had been living in a home on Palm Beach Circle in Benton’s Hurricane Lake neighborhood for a few years, but one
home just down the street had caught her attention several years earlier. At the time, Timie was working for a local magazine, and the home had been selected to be featured in an article. She visited the home and fell in love with it.
“I thought it was amazing,” she said. “It’s been one of my favorite houses in our neighborhood since we’ve lived here.”
For years, Timie would have to drive past this home
every day, admiring from afar, until, one day, a “for sale” sign appeared in the front yard. Timie and Jake didn’t waste any time. Timie said they saw the sign on a Saturday, toured the home on Sunday and made an offer on Monday.
Timie said she loves many things about her home, includ- ing its unique details, woodwork and layout. Throughout the
