Nov. 7-8, Pioneer Village Fall Fest
PioneerVillage, a preservation project of the White County Historical Society, is a collection of late-19th-century buildings. Bring the family out to experience what life was like in the 1800s.Volunteers in period costumes will be on-site to answer questions, share facts about the buildings and pioneer life, and demonstrate pioneer crafts, including blacksmithing, spinning, quilting, knitting, leather working, Dutch-oven cooking, woodworking and more.The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 and from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 8 at 1200 Higginson St. For more information, call 501-580-6633.

Hunter Education Test
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has provided a CD for you to be able to study at home at your own pace.
• More than one person may use the same CD. • When you are ready to test, print off the test at the end of the CD.
• Call Mike Parsons, Searcy Parks and Recreation director, at 501-593-9149 to make an appointment.
• Print off the verification sheet at the end of the CD, and bring the sheet to the Carmichael Community Center at the time scheduled to take your test.
• Return the CD to Searcy Parks and Recreation when you come to test.

Arkansas State Police Driver’s Test
Driver’s tests are given Monday through Friday at the Carmichael Community Center by Sean Epperson, examiner.Written exams are offered from 9-11:30 a.m. and from 1-2 p.m. Road tests are given at 2 p.m. Applicants must sign in at 2 p.m. for the road test.
