These two Razorbacks will be calling the Hogs together from now on. Joe  rst saw Imani during the 2010 Red &
White spring football game at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was a starting receiver for the Razorbacks, and she had just joined the Razorbacks cheer team. A er getting to know each other, the couple kicked o  their relationship that October. In May 2018, during a dinner to celebrate Imani’s graduation from nursing school, Joe made one of the biggest plays of his life when he proposed. A er she said yes, Imani enlisted Robbie Stewart of  e Experience Events and Design to help her plan a large wedding, where all of the couple’s friends and family members could have a great time celebrating Joe and Imani’s love. “My wedding exceeded my expectations by far,” Imani said. “It was a literal fairy tale.”  e couple began their happily ever a er with a honeymoon to Canada.
THE EVENT
More than 500 guests attended the ceremony and reception at the Fayetteville Town Center. Pastor Errol Coner, a family friend, performed the ceremony. Gold and hot
pink, along with splashes of light pink and cream, enhanced the crimson palette. Stewart sourced blooms from across the country to cra  the red-pink ombre arrangements.
THE TASTES
Catering Unlimited in Springdale provided hors d’oeuvres and a  lling meal based around smoked brisket and smoked chicken. Shelby Lynn’s Cake Shoppe in Springdale cooked up an incredible six-layer cake, which was suspended by wires and adorned with  owers, lights and a rhinestone “A.” “ is cake lit up our reception and caught the eye of every guest,” Imani said.
THE RECEPTION
 e couple payed homage to their alma mater by playing “ e University of Arkansas Fight Song” while Imani and her former cheer teammates performed a routine. “It brought back so many wonderful memories and reminded us of where our relationship all began,” Imani said. She also honored her sisters at Delta Sigma  eta Sorority by gathering them to sing “ e Sweetheart Song.”
