Hickey said every 7A Central conference game will be tough. The Lady Wampus Cats are in the same league with Bryant, Cabot, Mount St. Mary, Little Rock Central, North Little Rock, Fort Smith Northside and Fort Smith Southside.
North Little Rock finished state runner-up to Bentonville last year. Southside reached the semi- finals; Cabot and Bryant fell in the quarterfinals. Central went out in the first round.

The 7A Central will qualify its top six teams for the Class 7A State Tournament.
Prior to becoming head coach, Hickey served as Chad Longing’s assistant for five years.

What are her overall expectations for the 2017 Lady Wampus Cats?
“Work hard, work together and win

We are a mixture of young and experienced girls who are striving to make each other the best ball team they can.”
