Greers Ferry Lake is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts looking to relax by the water.
Whether it’s just for a quick swim or a full week’s vacation, there are many campsite op- tions available around the lake with various amenities and access to restaurants, shops and services of the many cities around the lake.
 e following is a list of the many great recreation areas available to set up camp. Check with individual sites for usage fees.
DEVILS FORK RECREATION AREA
Located just north of Greers Ferry, the Devils Fork Recreation Area is a centrally located site that can make it simple to explore everything Greers Ferry Lake has to offer.  is area has 55 campsites with electricity, boat ramps, a playground, swimming areas and a picnic shelter.  e recreation area can serve as a hub for lake exploration.
 e campsite is open year-round. To make a reservation, call 501-825-8618.
CHOCTAW RECREATION AREA
Located on the western end of the upper lake, the Choctaw Recreation Area and Campground has 146 campsites (91 with electricity), a shower facility, a boat launch, a swimming area, a playground and a picnic shelter.
 is campground is near the city of Clinton, which has many great shopping and dining options.

DAM SITE RECREATION AREA AND CAMPGROUND
One of Greers Ferry Lake’s largest camp- sites, the Dam Site Recreation Area and Camp- ground is located just outside the city of Heber Springs and has many options for camping, picnics and swimming.
 e park has 241 campsites (148 with elec- tricity), a boat launch, a playground, a picnic shelter and a marina.  e park’s swimming
area offers an amazing view of the John F. Ken- nedy Dam and is near the Mossy Bluff Nation- al Nature Trail and the William Carl Garner Visitors Center.
 e Dam Site Recreation Area’s proximity to Heber Springs means campers can take ad- vantage of all the city has to offer, such as retail stores and restaurants.

JOHN F. KENNEDY PARK CAMPGROUND
Located on the Little Red River at the base of the dam, the John F. Kennedy Park Campground is a secluded setting that offers peaceful camping.
 e park has 68 campsites with electric- ity and 13 that also have water hookups to accommodate a variety of camping needs.  e park also offers a playground and a pic- nic shelter, along with many picnic tables.
For anglers, there’s a boat-launch ramp and a fishing dock.  e Little Red River is fa- mous for its record-breaking trout.
Campers can also check out the Collins Creek Trailhead for hiking and visit the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery, which grows rainbow and brook trout that are re- leased in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

SUGAR LOAF CAMPGROUND
Offering views of Sugar Loaf Mountain, Sugar Loaf Campground is located on the upper lake, 4 miles west of Greers Ferry.  is campground has 93 campsites (57 with electricity), a boat-launch ramp, a swimming area, a playground, a picnic shelter and a marina.  e campsite is open from May 15 through Sept. 15.

CHEROKEE RECREATION AREA AND CAMPGROUND
Positioned on the north side of the low- er part of Greers Ferry Lake, the Cherokee Recreation Area is a very exclusive camping

destination, with only 33 campsites and a boat-launch ramp.
 is park is near the Cherokee Park Trail for hiking enthusiasts and is just a short drive from the Tannenbaum Golf Club.

OLD HIGHWAY 25 RECREATION AREA AND BEACH
Just 1 mile northwest of the dam and al- most directly across the lake from the Dam Site Recreation Area, the Old Highway 25 Recreation Area and Beach is another popu- lar destination in the Greers Ferry Lake area.
 is park boasts 116 campsites (79 with electricity), restroom and shower facilities, a boat-launch ramp, a playground, a swim- ming area and picnic shelters.
 e swimming area is a beach and has plenty of nearby parking.

SHILOH PARK
Just south of the city of Greers Ferry, Shiloh Park has 116 campsites (60 with electricity), a boat-launch ramp, a swimming area, a play- ground, a picnic shelter and a marina.
