Camping
Get away from it all and pitch a tent, or hook up the RV for a stay at one of the U.S.Army
Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Greers Ferry Lake. Normally open from the middle of May through mid-Sep- tember, many of the facilities include boat ramps, drinking water, dump sta- tions, showers and toilets, swimming and picnic areas, playgrounds and ma- rinas. The Choctaw location also offers boat rentals. Visit recreation.gov to find out more about campground ame- nities or to reserve a site.
Fishing
Greers Ferry Lake and the icy Little Red River, which emerges from the depths
at Greers Ferry Dam, are both popular fishing destinations. There have been world-record catches from both wa- terways, so be prepared to reel in a big one. A variety of bass species, walleye, lake trout, crappie and bream populate the lake, while stocked rainbow trout are plentiful in the Little Red.
