Red River Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram closed a chapter in Heber Springs history recently as the dealership moved from its downtown location to new facilities at 1060 Heber Springs Road.
“After a decade in a historic building in downtown Heber Springs, Red River is moving to new facilities,” owner Mitch Ward said. “We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in this location.”
In addition to the new building, Red River Dodge is celebrating a milestone — 2015 marks the Ward family’s 10th anniversary as owners of the dealership.
When Mitch Ward and his wife, Jessica, along with his parents, Denny and Marsha Ward, purchased the dealership in 2005, they had a simple goal of becoming the state’s top dealership. During the ensuing decade, the dealership posted impressive sales totals and has been Arkansas’ top Ram dealer for seven years in a row.
“Heber Springs has embraced us with open arms,” Mitch Ward said. “We’ve grown so quickly that the old building just didn’t have enough space for a high-volume dealership, so we had to park and store vehicles all over town.
“The people of Heber Springs had grown accustomed to seeing rows of new Ram trucks parked at flooring stores, vacant lots and other places where you wouldn’t expect to see new vehicles on display.”
Ward said the new facility is one of the most modern car dealerships in the area and now has 23 service bays to help the staff take better care of customers’ vehicles.
“And don’t worry,” Ward said. “The location may be new, but all the familiar faces are still right here.”
Red River Dodge’s sales department is open from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and the service and parts departments are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and half days on Saturday.
Red River Dodge also has certified technicians to help keep its customer’s vehicle running in top shape along. The dealerships parts department can find just the right part and get it to the customer in a timely manner.
Located on a mountaintop overlooking the city and Greers Ferry Lake, the new Red River dealership has more than 800 vehicles displayed along more than 1,200 feet of highway frontage.
