BEST ROOFING COMPANY

Family values, helping others lead to successful roofing business
Anyone who has been to, or even driven by, Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, home of the Arkansas Travelers, has seen some of the work that is done by Gar- cia & Son Roofing & Gutters. Whether it’s a big job like this or something smaller, Garcia and Son puts its best effort into every job it does, which is why readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette voted the business the Best Roofing Company.
For Garcia and Son, the philosophy is simple: family and helping others. Allison Garcia, co-owner of the business, said the employees try to work with people as much as possible and stand behind the work they do, sticking to the motto, “The customer is always right.”
“We do whatever we have to do to try to make our customers happy,” she said. “We use our own crews. They’re family mem- bers. We know the guys, we know the work, and we pass that on to our customers for quality work. They’re the same people that I would use to do my roof.”
Allison said the company has given any- where from major discounts to providing free labor and material for those in need.
She also said the business has even donated roofs to those who weren’t able to provide them for themselves. To Garcia & Son, word of mouth is still the most effective way of getting business and getting positive feed- back.
Garcia & Son opened in 2000 and has since accumulated numerous awards from “Talk of the Town,” Angie’s list and the Bet- ter Business Bureau. Part of the success comes from co-owner Pablo Garcia and his background. Allison said he instills his past traditions and philosophies in the company today. “Pablo came here as a Mexican im- migrant. He’s living the American dream,” she said. “He still carries those old values to his business and the workers, and they know it.”
Allison said it’s the employees and the customers who have really been the biggest driving force behind the business.
“We wouldn’t be where we are now if it weren’t for the workers. I don’t think they get thanked enough for all the hard work they do,” she said. “[We thank] our custom- ers for voting for us. It makes us drive even harder to be the best because we don’t want to let our customers down.”
