The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville embraces a practical approach to education, providing students with diverse educational opportunities and job-enhancement programs.
For more than 20 years, UACCB has crafted a unique blend of associate and transfer degrees and technical certifications by focusing on the needs and demands of industry leaders and residents in the community.
In the fall 2019 and spring 2020 semes- ters, UACCB celebrated the highest enrollment increases the college has seen in the past five years. The 2019 fall enrollment increase was the highest enrollment increase among community colleges in the state over the past five years.
UACCB expanded its program offerings with the addition of mechatronics in 2018, which gives students necessary skill sets for industrial careers in the area. The college is looking to add a construction-technology program that will include certifications in carpentry, masonry, and drywall installation and finishing. UACCB completed construction on a state-of-the-art workforce training center in 2020 that includes areas for career and technical education, a makerspace, and a business and industry meeting room.

UACCB has been recognized as a leader in education both locally and nationally. The col- lege has been recognized twice by the Aspen In- stitute College Excellence Program as one of the nation’s top 150 community colleges. UACCB maintains partnerships with all major four-year institutions in the state, providing seamless paths to four-year degrees for students.
OVERVIEW
Established in 1919, John Brown University is Arkansas’ top-ranked university (The Wall Street Journal, 2020). JBU is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that prepares stu- dents to honor God and serve others by devel- oping their intellectual, spiritual and professional lives. JBU enrolls more than 2,300 students from 59 foreign countries and 36 states.
ACADEMICS
A JBU education challenges students to nurture a globally aware, holistic, curious and lifelong pursuit of learning. The programs are designed to stimulate new discovery through thought-provoking lectures and interactive proj- ects that prepare students for life. The 13:1 stu- dent-to-faculty ratio facilitates an environment of mentorship and individualized education.

JBU offers more than 40 majors for traditional undergraduate students, including business, biology, nursing, engineering, family and human services, music and graphic design. For students who have prior college credit, JBU Online offers flexible opportunities
