rides looking for alterna- tives to traditional bouquets might consider the elegant minimalism of greenery ar-
rangements, which are made using lush foliage and few, if any, owers.
“Using only foliage and assorted greenery for bridal bouquets is a new trend that is so very popular,” said Kelly Warden, owner of A Perfect Bloom Florist and Wedding Rentals in Beebe. “It is also a very cost- effective style.”
Inspiration photos on Pinterest and Instagram have helped the look grow in popularity, added Autumn Evans Beaulieu, owner of Petal Chik Designs in Little Rock.
“I think the lean toward organic and rustic has created this lush wed- ding trend, and it seems to trans- late into so many different wedding styles,” she said.
Florists keep greenery bouquets from looking at by incorporating a medley of shapes, textures and hues, she said, adding that foliage is avail- able in not only green tones, but also shades of blue, burgundy and silvery-gray.
Warden agreed: “As a designer, I love using multiple colors and tex- tures of foliage. It gives dimension to the bouquet, as well as a owing and draping design.”
Some of the most popular kinds of foliage include silver-dollar euca- lyptus, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller, she said.

“Using owers that are in season will bene t the client by saving her lots of money,” said Kelly Warden, owner of A Perfect Bloom Florist and Wedding Rent- als in Beebe. “As a oral retailer, when the wholesaler gives us deals, we can pass those along to our clients.”
Spring brides can take their pick from seasonal owers such as tulips, hyacinths, narcissi, lilacs, apple blossoms, freesias and viburnums, she said, adding that summer owers include garden roses, ranunculuses, dahlias, hydrangeas and veronicas.
When temperatures drop in autumn, brides can still nd plenty of seasonal
Couples may also select certain owers for holiday weddings. Warden said she of- ten uses orchids or an array of owers in pastel tones for weddings near Easter, and Christmastime offers traditional favorites such as amaryllis and paper-white narcis- sus, as well as cedar, pine and holly foliage.
Brides can spice up seasonal bouquets with a few unexpected additions, War- den added.
“Some of my most favorite things to use in some of my seasonal bride bouquets are berries and pods, wheat and even curly willow,” she said. “Feathers of all styles and colors give a really dramatic look to any style of bouquet.”

“To keep owers looking fresh, transport them in a chilled ice chest so there isn’t a lapse in the cooling process. Not all clients are fortunate enough to have refrigerated trucks, like most upscale orists.”
