❑ Purchase special accessories for your wedding-day attire.
❑ Plan a luncheon for your bridesmaids.
❑ Make appointments with a hairdresser, a makeup artist and a
manicurist.
❑ Finalize your honeymoon plans. • Make sure your passports
and visas are in order if you will travel overseas.
❑ Get your marriage license.
❑ Have a  nal gown  tting, and make sure attendants do the
same.
❑ Purchase a book to keep track of gifts as they arrive.
❑ Write thank-you notes on a daily basis.
❑ Make sure menu selections and service plans are locked
in place with your caterer.
❑ If planning a formal dinner, draw up a seating plan, and make
place cards.
❑ Con rm dates and times of  ower deliveries with your  orist. ❑ Review wedding-day transportation plans with drivers.
❑ Plan to change your name on important documents.
❑ Discuss wedding-day shots with your photographer and
videographer.
1-2 WEEKS TO GO
❑ Keep writing thank-you notes.
❑ Pick up your wedding rings.
❑ Submit wedding announcement to the Arkansas Democrat-
Gazette’s High Pro le editor, Rachel O’Neal, at roneal@ arkansasonline.com. • This is to be published the Sunday after the wedding.
❑ Begin packing for your honeymoon. • Recon rm your honeymoon plans, and purchase traveler’s checks, if needed.
❑ Contact all vendors for a  nal check-in regarding plans. ❑ Ask a friend or family member to take wedding gifts left at
the reception to a safe place.
❑ Wrap bridesmaids’ gifts in preparation for the rehearsal
dinner.
❑ See that checks are written and ready to give to vendors at
the agreed-upon time.
❑ Give your caterer the  nal guest count.
❑ Con rm that out-of-town guests have accommodations and
directions.
❑ Relax with a massage, manicure and pedicure. ❑ Enjoy your rehearsal ceremony and dinner.
❑ Get a good night’s sleep.
THE BIG DAY
❑ Allow plenty of time for dressing, makeup and hair styling. ❑ Allow plenty of time for pre-wedding photography.
❑ Take a deep breath, and remember that all your planning has
led to this day. Do not let any glitches get you down. This is your day to be happy, so enjoy every moment of it.
