“A lot of it is a boho look,” said Kelly
Warden, owner of A Perfect Bloom Florist in Beebe and Cabot. “We’re doing lots and lots of foliage, more botanical looks, things that look grown in the yard — very natural, very earthy-looking.”
Eucalyptus is in vogue, she said, add- ing that silver-dollar, spiral, feather and parvafolia varieties provide a lovely drap- ing effect at a midrange price. Boho ar- rangements might also feature Italian rus- cus, pampas grass, berries and succulents with high-end orals such as garden roses and ranunculus, she added.
“I think the boho works beautifully in
While some brides opt for a boho theme, others can include the trend in small doses, she added.
“You can add elements of boho and not do the big, full presentation of it,” she said. “I think that is what most of my brides are doing. They’re doing elements of it but not going overboard.”
Brides and bridesmaids can carry over- sized free-form bouquets of greenery, she said, but there are plenty of other ways to incorporate boho arrangements. Men’s bou- tonnieres can pick up on the theme with eucalyptus, pampas grass, berries and thistle tied up with twine, she said.
Brides, bridesmaids and ower girls can
wear a veil.
The greenery can spill over into the re-
ception with grandiose foliage arrangements on sweetheart tables, Instagram-worthy foliage walls and eye-catching oral chan- deliers, she said, adding that amaranthus, Italian ruscus and pampas grass all work well with such decorations.
Arrangements that include plentiful fo- liage can be a boon for budget-conscious brides, since foliage tends to cost less than owers, she added. She recommended that brides consult a orist at least six months before the wedding.

TIP
“Start early, and have a budget to start with rst. So many times, whenever I have a bride come in, we don’t have a budget per se to start with, and as things start progressing and they start spending their money, it leaves less for owers. So start your ower budget and have it already xed. That way, you won’t have to cut things at the end. That way, you still get all the things you’re wanting.”
