HOW DOES THE UNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY AND THE HOSPITAL?
The Unity Health Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation established as a charitable organization to provide support to Unity Health. The foundation is committed not only to medical excellence and compassionate care, but also to improving the overall health of the entire Unity Health service area. Gifts to the Unity Health Foundation provide Unity Health with the funds for renovations, state- of-the-art equipment and specialized projects to enhance patient care.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I enjoy building relationships with those I inter- act with and helping to create new opportunities for health care in our region.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
I love traveling, photography and fishing.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO FLY-FISHING?
I have always loved to fish, but it was always a dream to be able to fly-fish. Two years ago for my birthday, my husband surprised me with a mini-vacation, and a wonderful friend taught me the basics of fly-fishing. I don’t get to go nearly as often as I would like to, but it is so relaxing to be standing midriver and catching fish.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO VISIT IN SEARCY?
I love our beautiful courthouse and the atmosphere that is being created through the murals, Art Alley and the Rialto renovation in downtown Searcy. I love to support the local family-owned restaurants for meals. I also love participating in the Beats and Eats evenings, the Get Down Downtown Festival and the White County Fair.
