Arkansas Game and Fish Commission
With a mission to protect and improve the lives and hab- itats of Arkansas’ wildlife, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission works to educate the state’s population on a variety of out- doors topics.
At Pops on the River, visitors can get more information on a new fishing con- test that is taking place statewide. Anglers can find specially tagged blue catfish at each of the 37 locations stocked by the commission. Reel in one of these lunkers, call the phone number on the tag, and find out what prize you’ve won. Prizes include tackle boxes, rod-and-reel combos and gift certificates. Some big-ticket prizes include kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Each of the 37 locations will have between 10 and 20 of the prize catfish. For more informa- tion, visit www.agfc.com/familyfishing.
Also at Pops on the River, guests can
meet AGFC’s newest mascot, Danger. Danger’s mission is to educate kids and families about the potential safety haz- ards that can occur when exploring the outdoors and to provide tips and best practices to help protect families while out on an adventure.
While at Pops on the River, guests can take a short walk to the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center to check out Wild Tales Story Time and the fish and alligator feeding.

Arkansas Children’s
For more than a century, Arkansas Children’s has continuously evolved to meet the unique needs of the
children of Arkansas and beyond. Today, Arkansas Children’s is more than just a hospital treating sick kids — the organization’s services include two hospitals, a pediatric research institute, clinics, education and out- reach, all with an unyielding commit- ment to making children better today
and healthier tomorrow.
When it comes to health care, kids
are different. From the tiniest patients to young adults, each stage of develop- ment requires its own expertise, equip- ment and understanding. Arkansas Chil- dren’s is kid-savvy, family-centered and uniquely tailored to children.
Children are at the center of every- thing Arkansas Children’s does. Every day, hour and second, the staff is fo- cused on reaching more children in more ways, whether it’s through ex- panding facilities and their reach in
Arkansas and beyond, recruiting and retaining top talent, ensuring a con- tinuum of comprehensive, world-class care or even training two-thirds of the pediatricians in the state.
Through Arkansas Children’s hospi- tals, clinics, research and outreach, the organization is committed to providing quality care to children where they live, learn and play.
Like a concert you never want to end, our trip to Little Rock was amazing. We loved local music at South on Main, and enjoyed several great meals as we explored the city’s eclectic neighborhoods and shops. With a rich and diverse local music scene and a vibrant arts community, Little Rock is a city to be savored. The city has a new Southern style and charm that’s uniquely its own – and we experienced it all in Little Rock.
