Brandie Castleberry Bimini Butterfly By Sarah DeClerk
SPECIAL SECTIONS WRITER
For years, Bimini Butterfly has supplied Cabot with clothing and gifts, but the boutique now has a new owner, Brandie
Leigh Castleberry. Although the store has updated its selection, the business has main- tained its essence, she said.
Castleberry worked in fine jewelry for 10 years. When Bimini Butterfly became avail- able, she said it seemed like the perfect time for her to go into business for herself.
“I feel like my expertise in retail over the past decade has helped me go forward in my own business because I have learned to forge personal relationships with each customer, and I sincerely care about the experience they have while shopping with me,” she said.
The store still carries popular brands like bareMinerals cosmetics and Tyler candles. Bimini Butterfly now offers a larger assort- ment of jewelry, Big Buddha and Urban Expressions handbags, pet products and an expanded baby section. The business has al- so broadened its clothing sizes to include extra-small to 3XL.
TERRY CODY/THREE RIVERS EDITION Brandie Leigh Castleberry, the new owner of Bi- mini Butterfly in Cabot, has updated the store’s selection while continuing to stock the business’s most popular brands.
“We try to offer the full experience,” Cas- tleberry said. Before a party, a customer can stop by to choose the perfect outfit with acces- sories, including shoes and a handbag, freshen up their makeup and pick up a hostess gift, which the staff will gift-wrap, she said.
“I have really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people from Cabot and the sur- rounding areas, and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to meet even more,” she added.

THREE RIVERS EDITION
Savory Catering and Event Planning was established in May 2012 as a mother-daughter partnership between
Belinda LaForce and her daughter Lauren Brown. The love of eating good food, the talent of cooking and the desire for others to expe- rience good food inspired the pair to begin a journey that neither of them imagined would soar to such a successful endeavor.
The “icing on the cake” is that the mother and daughter work side by side every day. Sa- vory offers cuisines to satisfy every palate for all types of special events or just a family dinner, LaForce said. Savory specializes in wedding receptions with a large variety of menu op- tions and specialty hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Menus can be tailored for just about any event.
“Speaking from a woman’s perspective, I have never allowed fear of failure to keep me from aspiring to achieve my goals or dreams,” LaForce said. “I certainly desire for my daugh- ter to follow suit and have every opportunity to do the same. Women make a positive dif- ference in the lives of others when we have the
