supporting private preschool owners, early-childhood staff and parents of children up to age 5.
“This is a group that is working in the Conway area to make sure there is af- fordable preschool for all of Conway, and we’re helping them to try to reach that goal,” Satterfield said.
With the variety of events taking place at Toad Suck Daze, planning can be difficult. Luckily, the Toad Suck Daze smartphone app, available for iOS and Android, can help ensure that festival- goers get to see everything. On the app, there is a full schedule of events, a list of attractions, a map, a social-media feed, a list of local vendors and event informa- tion. The app even relates the weather.
Toad Suck Daze also has plenty to keep the kids entertained. The Toadal Kids Zone, held on the lawn of the Faulk- ner County Courthouse, features perfor- mances by clowns, magicians, balloon artists, dance and gymnastic groups, school choirs and more. There will also be a children’s play area, a sand box, a petting zoo and pony rides. The Faulkner County Library will be on-site with arts and crafts, as well as book giveaways.
The main event, the World Champion- ship Toad Races, will take place all week- end at the Toad Dome. Races will occur throughout the weekend, with the finals taking place the afternoon of May 3.
On the Main Stage at Simon Park, there will be a variety of concerts and entertainment throughout the weekend. The entertainment is free, and seating is general admission. Attendees are en- couraged to bring their own seating.
