Q. How do you start your day? A. I read my Bible and drink
coffee on my porch.

Q. Worst workday:
A. The worst days are the days when unexpected issues arise, which delay the process for my clients.
Q. What do you do on your days off?
A. On my days off, I can be found on Southern Oaks Country Club Golf Course or working in my yard.

Q. Why I love working for my business:
A. I enjoy being my own boss. Q. What is one thing people
don’t know about the company you work for?
A. DWR is owned by myself and my wife, Penny (Wilkinson) Dietz. Although Doug Wilkinson started the company in 1973; we have actually been involved for over 35 years. People who are not from the area do not realize this.
Q. Typical day in a nutshell: A. The typical day requires
expecting the unexpected.
You make plans, of course, either to meet with clients to show them potential homes or offer input to sellers as
to what they should expect from today’s market. Most days fill up with unexpected issues.

A. The best business advice I ever received came from my father-in-law, Doug Wilkinson: “Never burn a bridge; you may need to cross back over.”
