Shine Your Ride car show
ShineYourRidefortheSunshineSchoolwill take place Aug. 13 at Berryhill Park. Registra- tion will be $20 per vehicle, with the event benefiting the Sunshine School in Searcy. Spectators will have the privilege of seeing all kinds of unique vehicles, including vintage cars that are models 1892-1940, antiques that are 1941-1965, classics that are 1966- 1996, modified cars, modified trucks, muscle cars, street rods, Jeeps, Corvettes, rat rods and special-interest vehicles. The show will include competitions such as the engine roar competition, with a $5 entry fee, first and second place for each class, the far- thest distance traveled to enter the show,
the loudest engine, the best of show and people’s choice.There will also be a raffle for a 10/22 Ruger tactical rifle and ammo. Those tickets can be purchased for $5 each or five for $20. For more information, call 501-388-2057.

Searcy Ladies Night Out
Hosted by the Three Rivers Edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette at the Army National Guard in Searcy, Ladies Night Out offers women from around the area an opportunity to have a fun night out with friends and family. The event will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Sept. 29. Women will have a chance to win fabulous prizes, watch com- pelling performances and a fashion show, and check out the latest products and ser- vices from local businesses.The event is free to the public and is a great way to spend a Thursday night among friends.

Get Down Downtown
The city of Searcy will have the chance, start- ing at 7 p.m. Sept. 28, to enjoy a four-night revival led by Billingsley. Billingsley is a worship leader, songwriter, speaker and author who is the worship leader at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. Center on the Square presents Twelve Angry Women
This season at Center on the Square, every Sunday from Oct. 9-23, the audience will be captivated by the story of Twelve Angry Wom- en. The story
is about a
19-year-old
boy who
stood trial
for the fa-
tal shooting
of his father.
While the case
appears straight-
forward, various jurors reveal

Ozark Mountain Brawl
Harding University and FIRST Robotics Com- petition Team 3937, Breakaway, will host the Ozark Mountain Brawl, an intense robotics competition in Searcy. The event will pro- vide a competitive robotics experience for all students and will showcase the talent and
intelligence some teams have to offer. The event will begin at 1 p.m. Oct. 7, and teams will be allowed to set up pits, register, have safety inspections and practice. From 3-4:30 p.m., the teams will have practice matches, with qualification matches beginning at 5 p.m. Registration for the event will close at 36 teams, and the remaining registrants will be placed on a waiting list.The cost is $200 for teams registering early and $250 for late reg- istration. Ninth annual Pioneer Village Fall Fest
The Pioneer Village grounds in Searcy will host the ninth annual Pioneer Village Fall Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 and 6. Pioneer Village is a collection of late-19th-centur y buildings, farm equipment and other histor- ic ar tifacts from throughout White County that have been saved and gathered by the White County Historical Society.The festival will feature crafts, live music, building tours, farm animals and demonstrations. Partici- pants will have an opportunity to partake of chuckwagon cooking while they shop for craft items. from 6-10 p.m. Sept. 23,
and from 10 a.m. to 10
p.m. Sept. 24. For both
days and evenings, con-
cessions and vendors will be set up. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to listen to the free entertainment in beautiful, scenic downtown Searcy.
