HEAD MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH HENDRIX COLLEGE
HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT THE SEASON LAST YEAR?
Last season was a good year for us, though it didn’t finish how we would have liked (11-15). We had several accomplishments that were building blocks for the future of our program. I’m proud of our guys and am excited for this upcoming season.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT HENDRIX COLLEGE?
I am in my 13th year at Hendrix and eighth as the head men’s basketball coach.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO THE PROGRAM?
I accepted the assistant men’s basketball po- sition back in the spring of 2005 and was excited for the vision of the college. I have been at Hendrix through all of the latest major construction in athletics, as well as The Village at Hendrix and other areas of campus and feel very fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to accept the head coaching position.
WHERE DID YOU LIVE BEFORE COMING TO CONWAY?
I grew up in southern Indiana and played col- lege basketball there before moving to Richmond, Kentucky, and coached in Lexington before com- ing to Conway.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT THE CONWAY COMMUNITY?
My wife and I love the friends we have made and the small-town feel that Conway still has, despite all of the growth that has occurred during our time here. She is very active, both in terms of running and exercising, but also with respect to volunteering her time on some local boards. Con- way has also proven to be a great place to raise a family, and we are excited to watch our boys continue to grow up in the community.
