Best hitter for average: Boucher said he expects another good year at the plate from Tucker, who led the Wampus Cats in hitting last year, averaging about .400.
Best power hitter: This is a strength for Conway this season. “We have some potential power all through our lineup,” Boucher said.

Best fielder: The coach said Lloyd and Reck should be “a great pair in the middle infield.”
Best speed: This is another Wampus Cat strength. Boucher said Dail, Gavazzi, Brayden Leach, Matt Boley and Will Mathis all run well.
Best arm: As another strength for the team, Boucher mentioned Strickland, Tucker, Cahill and Wicks.
Best pitcher: Strickland returns as the Cats’ No. 1 pitcher, but he’ll be ably backed by Tucker, Cahill and Wicks, the coach said.
College prospects: Davis said three Wampus Cats have already signed letters of
