CLASS XXXII OF THE LEADERSHIP GREATER LITTLE ROCK • ARKANSAS DEMOCRATGAZETTE
MEET THE CHAMBER’S CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER
Congratulations to Class XXXII of Leadership Greater Little Rock on com- pletion of the year. I hope you found the year informative, eye-opening and, most importantly, fun. I know you finish with some new best friends, as well as more contacts than any one person should have.
I was a graduate of Class III, which in itself is not remarkable. However, the caliber of my classmates was incredible. Our class went on to have a mayor, a city director, school board members, a state senator, several members who have led large nonprofits, a judge, leaders of large city departments, future chamber chairs, leaders of big businesses, entrepreneurs and just plain good folks.
Just like Class III, your class will develop many of the same leaders over time. Already, some of you may be thinking of running for public office. Some may have been enlightened by some of the needs of our communi- ty and may be thinking of joining, or even starting, a nonprofit to address these real issues. Your members will join city boards, be in the ranks of business leaders and one day lead the Little Rock Regional Chamber. But no matter what, you are leaders, and you will lead.
I am thankful for the leaders of this program: Jay Moody and Robin Con- nell. Both have worked tirelessly to ensure that you had a meaningful and motivating experience. Of course, no class would be successful without the work of our chamber staff, Judy Love and Melinda Moody. There would be no sessions without, first, Judy and, now, Melinda.
Lastly, I would like to thank your employers, who realize that leaders are not born; they are trained through Leadership Greater Little Rock.
Now, go out and change the world for the better.
