project that now is the time to begin doing their homework to prepare for the project.
“It may still be officially winter, but now is the time for folks to be planning their spring projects. The Home Show gives folks an outstanding opportunity to gather ideas, investigate new products and get information from experts so they can take on their spring projects armed with the knowledge and tools to get the job done,” Curtis said.
Speaking of experts, Home Builders Association Execu- tive Officer Shannon Smiatek said one of the show’s most popular features – the Ask the Builder booth – offers a chance for patrons to get free advice from experts.
“I believe one of the most valuable services we offer at the Home Show is our Ask the Builder booth,” Smiatek said. “The booth will be staffed all weekend by the asso- ciation’s expert registered builder and remodeler members, who can answer all of your home questions, including how to raise your home’s value and what projects you should hire out versus tackling yourself.
“In fact, I encourage show visitors to bring their house plans or design ideas with them. Our builders can take a look at your plans and give you helpful building and remodeling advice that won’t cost you a dime.”
YOUR TICKET COULD MAKE YOU A WINNER
One of the perks at this year’s Home Show is a chance to win a 46-inch Samsung LED flat-screen television courtesy of Arkansas Custom Iron Doors. Just fill out the backside of your Home Show admission ticket, and drop it off at the Arkansas Custom Iron Doors booth. The prize drawing
will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, and you do not have to be present to win.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GIVEAWAYS
Visitors to the event can browse exhibitors’ booths on the upper and lower levels of Verizon Arena. With nearly 20,000 square feet of exhibits under one roof, patrons can see the latest in kitchens and bathrooms, blinds and shutters, carports and metal buildings, lighting, gutters, purification systems and much more.
Many booths will feature giveaways and prize draw- ings, and visitors should be sure to register. Some prizes may even be sweetheart-themed, so be sure to bring your sweetheart to the show.
“There will be dozens of opportunities to win valuable prizes at different booths, and as always, many of our ex- hibitors will be handing out free items,” Curtis said.
