On a sunny day in August, wearing a big hair bow and a bigger smile, 9-year-old Aven Emery doled out “cups for the cure” at a lemonade
stand like no other. As people lined up in front of her vibrant blue-and-yellow stand at the foot of the Arkansas State Capitol, she handed out refreshing, tangy drinks in exchange for a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
