ing, Hastings, Warner, Patterson and Lee Expectations for the 2015 season: The Bryant Hornets have won three of the last five Class 7A state championships. In 2015, they will bring back approximately 95 percent of the innings pitched from last year’s state championship team led by seniors Knight, Patterson and Hastings, coach Kirk Bock said. Knight, an Arkansas commit, was Class 7A state tournament MVP and a 2014 Louisville Slugger All-American. He went 11-0 with a 0.32 ERA in his junior season, the coach said. Junior

Tipton, who earned a 2014 Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American award, will likely lead off after hitting .402 with nine doubles, three triples and a home run, as well as 17 stolen bases last year. “To have success this year, [we] will need to fill key positions on defense, continue to improve upon their offensive approach and focus on pitching and defense,” Bock said. The Hornets have made the finals in four of the past five years and expect to make another run at a state championship.
