“She can hit for power to the right side as well as to the left,” the coach said. “She is a disci- plined hitter and knows how to produce runs offensively. She hit close to .350 last season.”
Best fielder: Sophomore Bailey Beckham will control the outfield for Conway. Hickey said she was quick and read the ball well off the bat. “She has an accurate arm and a quick release,” the coach said. “Her speed on the bases has improved over the summer. She has improved her knowledge of the game. We look to have increased run production with her in the regular lineup this year.”
Best speed: Hickey said shortstop Felts was Conway’s best overall defensive player, as well as the Lady Cat with the most knowledge and speed on the bases. “She can force errors with defense and execute the short game, as well as swing for power,” Hickey said. “At short- stop last year, she completed the season with a fielding percentage of over .900.”
