OUTSTANDING PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Volleyball
REAGAN ROBINSON
WHY SHE WON
Leading her team to its first 4A state
championship, Reagan Robinson
had a great season to end her high
school career. During the 2015 sea-
son, Robinson, a 5-11 outside hitter,
registered 452 kills, 32 blocks, 393
digs and 77 aces and was selected
as MVP of the Class 4A state tour-
nament, racking up 16 kills in the
Lady Saints’ 3-0 victory over Mena
in the finals. “I think I performed a
lot better than I did the year before,”
she said. “I became smarter with what I was doing.” Robinson has been a three-time all-state performer for the school and has earned Wendy’s Player of the Year honors as well. Robinson was 11th in the state in aces and third in kills. “She was a threat, no matter if she was in the back row or the front row,” said Nathan Bodenstein, head volleyball coach at Shiloh Christian. “She had a plethora of offensive moves
in her repertoire, so if you took away one part of her game, she could go to another shot.” In the fall, Robinson will attend the University of Arkansas, where she will play volleyball and study marketing. She said she chose Arkansas because her dad played tennis at the school. It was the only university she looked at.
There [are] a lot of good volleyball players

out there, so I’m really lucky and fortunate to receive the award.”
